Barbara Ann Fillmore (Donohue/ Abbott) a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospice with her family by her side on Friday, April 30, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Barb was born in Geraldton. She worked at the T. Eaton Company for 23 years until it closed. She held the position as manager at Subway on Red River Road for 11 years.

Barb will be lovingly remembered by her husband Donald Fillmore; children Laurie (Jim) Jacobsen, Kenneth (Georgina) Abbott and Richard (Pamela) Abbott. She will be sadly missed by her cherished grandchildren Cassandra, Christopher and Serena Jacobsen, Linda (Alex Trimble), Amanda and Brandon Abbott, Emma Abbott and great-grandchildren Jayden and Noah Trimble. She will also be missed by her sister and brothers Margaret Jane (Gordon) Albrecht, Mervyn (Laura) Donohue and Richard (Marjorie) Donohue; sisters and brothers-in-law Shirley (Otto) Amos, Eugene Fillmore, Karen Doherty, Brenda and Joe Morin; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives will also miss her presence.

Barbara was predeceased by her mother and father Margaret and Archie Donohue; mother and father-in-law Myra and Frank Fillmore; sister-in-law Frances Fillmore and brother-in-law Benny Doherty.

Funeral services for the late Barbara Fillmore will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 11:00AM in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley St. at Algoma with Fr. Luigi Filippini officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the time of service.

Should friends so desire, donations may be made in Barb's memory to the St. Joseph's Care Group – Hospice Unit or the Canadian Cancer Society.
