LETTER: Nurses need to look more professional

To the edtior: A few years ago nurses looked professional, took pride in how they looked. Today most of them look like they don't give a darn how they look. I think this attitude is attained while going to school.

To the edtior:

A few years ago nurses looked professional, took pride in how they looked. Today most of them look like they don't give a darn how they look.

I think this attitude is attained while going to school. Change the lazy attitude at school on dress code and the attitude at the hospital will also change. If not treat them as the non-professionals they are and direct them to the degree of what a professional nurse should appear like.

Another beef: make nurses change their clothes at the facility they work at. I don't want my nurse smelling like smoke from her car in the winter months or like a fast-food restaurant. Cars carry billions of germs if you are going to start with uniforms then get it all done concerning this uniform matter and do it right the first time.
