THUNDER BAY -- City police are investigating a home invasion that reportedly involved four masked men.

Officials with the Thunder Bay Police Service say officers responded to a 911 call after 6:30 p.m. to a Halton Street home where the resident was reportedly assaulted.

The 18-year-old victim said four masked males entered his home and assaulted him before fleeing in a vehicle.

Officers were later led to a John Street home where they found a number of individuals believed to be linked to the incident.

A 17-year-old boy was placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant for being unlawfully at large. He has also been charged with break and enter, assault and mischief in connection with this incident.

He appeared in court Wednesday.

Two other 18 year old men were also taken into custody and have since been released unconditionally. A vehicle that was involved in this incident had been towed by police and has also been released.

Investigation has revealed more information and police are now looking for two known male suspects. Warrants have been requested for two men, an 18 year old and a 20 year old.

Police say the victim and one of the suspects are familiar with each other and this appears to be a targeted incident.

The victim in this incident did not require medical attention.

The investigation continues.
