LETTER: Talk of party loyalty hypocritical coming from NDP candidates

In this election, the NDP have exposed themselves as the hypocrites they really are. Candidate Andrew Foulds is ranting endlessly about party loyalty even though his leader is a liberal defector.

In this election, the NDP have exposed themselves as the hypocrites they really are.

Candidate Andrew Foulds is ranting endlessly about party loyalty even though his leader is a liberal defector.  He doesn’t mention the millions the NDP must repay to Parliament for improper expenses.

If NDP and Liberal MPs, Bruce Hyer, Joe Commuzzi left their parties to support their constituents, perhaps those parties don’t merit our support.  Certainly their economic policies would be disastrous.

The private sector creates jobs, government never has.  Every dollar government spends inhibits job growth.

Justin Trudeau wants $10 billion deficits.  Hell, we haven’t paid off his father’s deficits.  Ask Greece how massive spending worked for them.  The NDP want to jack up minimum wages, but only for federal workers.

Most minimum wage workers would not be affected.  Thankfully.   Minimum wage hikes would result in less service and massive layoffs.  Older workers and students would be the first laid off.

That means less profits, less business activity, lower tax revenues, higher unemployment, and more families on welfare.

It’s hard to imagine a policy that could be worse for working people.   A downturn in the resource sector put us into a mini recession.  The manufacturing sector is starting to lead us out.

That will continue as long as Canada doesn’t elect people that think they can spend their way out of recession.
