Brandon Swartzendruber is a finalist for the Premier Development League’s most valuable player award.

The Thunder Bay Chill striker, who led the league in goals and points, will compete for the award with Mississippii’s Moses Aduny, Portland’s Brent Richards and Ottawa’s Andrew Rigby.

The Colorado native, snubbed Tuesday when the PDL named its all-league team, had 15 goals and 35 points in 16 regular-season games, adding another three goals last weekend as the Chill dispatched of London and Michigan to advance to this weekend’s PDL final in Portland, Ore.

Swartzendruber is the only Chill player nominated for an award.

Other trophies up for grabs include rookie, defender and coach of the year.
