The Thunder Bay Border Cats are picking the wrong time of the season to start to slide again.

The Cats, who hit the road Thursday having won eight of nine, dropped a second straight decision Friday night in St. Cloud, dropping to 13-14 on the season with the 8-3 defeat.

Thunder Bay fell four games out of first place in the Northwoods League’s North Division, with just nine regular season games to go.
Chris Paul homered and drove in a pair to lead the Rox to the win. St. Cloud scored three in the third and five in the seventh, doing all of their damage of Border Cats starter Sean Becker, his first poor start since joining the team two weeks ago.

Omar Cotto and Brett and Cory Kay each had RBIs for the Cats, who will look Saturday to salvage the final game of the three-game set in St. Cloud.
