Brad Thrower started the game pitching for the Thunder Bay Junior Nationals, but it was his hitting that made a difference at the Canadian Junior National Little League Championship Saturday in Lethbridge, Alta.

Thrower was 2-for-4 with four RBI as Team Ontario knocked off the Atlantic representatives from Sydney, N.S. by an 11-2 count. He now has seven RBI and is hitting .727 in three games at the tournament.

Preston Esquega had a pair of doubles for Thunder Bay (2-1).

Kenzie Lahey took the loss for the Nova Scotia squad.

Thunder Bay is back in action on Sunday, taking on the host Lethbridge team at Spitz Stadium at 2 p.m. EST.
