DeGrazia captures Manitoba junior event

Thunder Bay's Evan DeGrazia was on his golf game on Wednesday in Winnipeg.

DeGrazia fired a seven-under 65 to capture the 17-19-year-old division at the MJT-PGA of Manitoba Junior Championship with a two-day140 total. The 17-year-old shot 75 on Tuesday, and won the event by three shots over three golfers from the host province.

Thunder Bay's Hayden Hickey was 10 shots back in sixth, while Goose Adam finished with a 28-over 172 total.

in the 14-16 division, Dustin Barr ballooned to a 90 after an opening day 70 that gave him the overnight lead. Jeremy Kirk had an 87 Wednesday to finish with a 169, while Braydon McAuley's 105 left him in last place with a 208 total.

In the 13 and under division, Aaron Rudnicki wound up in the middel of the pack with a 21-over 165, while Jonh Derbyshire had a 190 and Cory Pharand a193.

Selina Felice was the lone Thunder Bay teen in the tournament. The 14-year old totalled 277 over the two-day event, played at the Transcona Golf Course.
