Tigers earn narrow senior girls basketball win

Krista Lamb had 13 points on Thursday to lead the Westgate Tigers to a 40-29 win over Superior  Collegiate in senior girls basketball play.

The Tigers had a much tougher time on the junior girls court, riding seven points from Kim McNivin to squeak out a 29-27 win over Superior.

Elsewhere Alli Wood had a game-high 15 points as St. Ignatius snuck past St. Patrick 41-39.

In senior boys volleyball it was Churchill over Dennis Franklin Cromarty 2-1 and St. Ignatius swept Westgate 3-0.
In junior boys play, St. Ignatius blanked the Tigers 3-0, St. Patrick edged Hammarskjold 2-1 and Churchill got past Superior 2-1.
