Greg Carter was the offensive hero Thursday night for the Lakehead Thunderwolves as their basketball trip to British Columbia continued in winning fashion.

The Ottawa native dropped 23 points to lead LU to a convincing non-conference 88-72 win over the University of Northern British Columbia in Abbotsford, B.C.

Rookie Dwayne Harvey added 15 points, with Ben Johnson and Anthony McIntosh adding 10 points apiece.

Francis Rowe had 18 to pace the Timberwolves.

Lakehead takes on Fraser Valley on Saturday in a rematch of the opening round at last March's Final 8 in Halifax. Fraser Valley won that game 83-71.
