The second go-around wasn't really any prettier than their first.

The Churchill Trojans, buoyed by last year's trip to the Northern Bowl, fell behind 33-6 at the half and went on to lose the provincial championship 47-28 Tuesday morning at the Rogers Centre in Toronto to Sault Ste. Marie's St. Mary's College.

It marked the second straight year the Trojans lost the title game. A year ago they fell 34-28 to Superior Heights.

Well, I was fortunate to be able to be there for the Final against St Marys. The whole event was superbly organised and the efforts by all players and coaching/support staff is a credit to them.

Trust me, these kids have been putting in 2-3 of training EVERY night since September - their hard work and commitment got them to the Provincial Finals where there can only ever be one winner and one loser.

You did us all proud guys! VERY WELL DONE! You will be back and you will win it in 2013!!!
