The Laurentian Voyageurs proved to be just the cure the Lakehead Thunderwolves needed to end a four-game losing streak.

The women’s basketball team got 20 points from Carolyn Fragale and a career-high 17 from Katie Ulakovic Friday night and cruised to a 73-48 win at the Thunderdome. Ayse Kalkan added 15 points for Lakehead, hauling in 14 rebounds in the process.

The Wolves (2-4) led 34-15 at the half and host York on Saturday night to wrap up first-half play.
