Skips Tirzah Keffer and Zach Warkentin are off to the national junior curling championships.

Keffer defeated Sudbury’s Krysta Burns 7-4 in nine ends on Sunday to take the junior women’s title in Sault Ste. Marie.

Meanwhile Warkentin captured the junior men’s crown in an all-Thunder Bay battle in Kapuskasing, defeating  fellow Port Arthur Curling Club skip Kurtis Byrd 7-6.

The national juniors are slated for Feb. 2-10 in Fort McMurray, Alta.

Once you become a reporter or an administrator of this site then you can decide which articles are to be posted. This is positive local news, so if you don't have anything to say about it, then you should just not post at all.
