The school announced Monday they’ve parted ways with Curtis, who served as coach of the team for the past five seasons.
“Lakehead wrestling program is moving in a different direction,” LU athletic director Tom Warden said in a release issued to local media.

“I’d like to thank Brock Curtis and his staff for their years of service to Lakehead University.”

Curtis, named OUA coach of the year in 2010, when he led the men’s program to a fourth-place finish at nationals, took the women’s team to a fourth-place CIS finish in 2011.

"I wish the best for the program, the athletes and the future coach at Lakehead,” Curtis is quoted as saying in a brief parting statement.
The university has not named a replacement.
