Brandon Wolframe earned them the 5-4 win Wednesday night over the visiting Fort Frances Lakers, notching the lone goal of the shootout at Fort William Gardens.

Daniel McKitrick, Nicholas Nigro and Ryan Walsh also scored for Thunder Bay, who captured their second straight victory.

It was just the second loss of the season for the first-place Lakers (6-1-1), who got goals from Matt Vela, Miles Nolan, Wyatt Cota and Colton Spicer.

Spicer finished with a goal and two assists on the night.

The Stars (3-3-0), travel to Dryden on Friday.
