Men's Hoops Top Ooks, 80-65
Lakehead goes 3-0 on the weekend
October 19, 2014 — Edmonton, Alta. The men's basketball team completed an undefeated weekend in Edmonton on Sunday, defeating the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) Ooks 80-65.
"The guys had an opportunity this weekend to simulate what the regular season is going to be like and I thought they responded to every challenge they faced," said Coach Manny Furtado.
"We have a lot of room for improvement and look forward to the beginning of the regular season."
The two teams drew nearly even after 10 minutes, the 'Wolves leading, 18-17.
Mor Menashe continued to fill a vital role in the lineup, as he consistently caused problems for the Ooks' defense with dribble penetration and jump shots.
Halftime score was 44-34 Lakehead, and 64-49 after three quarters.
