THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Monday that Fort Frances Lakers forward Bryson Jasper has been named the Amyotte’s Awards & Promotions Corp. player of the week for the period ending Nov. 16.

In two games this past week the 20-year-old Jasper, who hails from Rainy River, Ont., registered four points helping the league-leading Lakers skate to a pair of victories.

He began by notching his 11 goal on the season in a 5-4 overtime triumph over the Minnesota Iron Rangers last Wednesday.

Jasper followed that up three nights later by setting up the game-winner while doling out two earlier assists as Fort Frances defeated English River in Ear Falls Saturday.

The veteran forward is currently riding a four-game point streak picking four tallies and as many helpers in that span.

Also receiving consideration for the SIJHL player of the week were: Evan Erickson, (F) Minnesota Iron Rangers; Matt Houston, (F) Dryden GM Ice Dogs; Kenny Turner, (F) Thunder Bay North Stars and Dominic Blouin, (F) English River Miners.
