THUNDER BAY -- Local fighters plan to go the distance against hunger this holiday season.
Leading Edge MMA will host Bang out Hunger, a free exhibition fight card featuring boxing, kickboxing and MMA matches, on Dec. 4 from 7 to 8 p.m.
Instead of selling tickets, the charitable event asks for donations of nonperishable food items that will be donated to the Shelter House. The Bang out Hunger fight card takes place Dec. 4, from 7 to 8 p.m. at 96 High Street in the large gymnasium of the former Hillcrest high school.
A recent affiliate of Bang Muay Thai, Leading Edge MMA will also offer classes from that program in exchange for food donations.
The Bang out Hunger charitable classes take place on:
- Dec. 2 from 6 to 7 p.m.
- Dec. 4 from 6 to 7 p.m.
- Dec. 7 from 1 to 2 p.m.
