Morrison to guide NBA D-League all-stars

Scott Morrison’s first season in the NBA Development League has made him an all-star. The former Lakehead Thunderwolves coach on Monday learned he and his staff will coach the Futures team in the D-League’s Feb. 15 all-star game.

The former Lakehead Thunderwolves coach on Monday learned he and his staff will coach the Futures team in the D-League’s Feb. 15 all-star game.

Morrison has led the Maine Red Claws, an affiliate of the Boston Celtics, to a 17-8 record in his rookie season.

Bakersfield Jam coach Nate Bjorkgren will guide the Prospects team. Both coaches’ teams lead their respective conferences.

The D-League all-star game will feature the circuit’s top 20 players and will be played at Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Centre. The game will also air live on NBA TV.
