Thunder Bay’s Evan Palmer-Charrette has captured Canada Winter Games gold.

Palmer-Charrette and teammates Benjamin Wilkinson-Zan, Scott Hill and Jack Carlyle easily captured top spot in the men’s four-by-five-kilometre cross country skiing rally, beating Team Quebec by nearly 45 seconds in the final. The quartet finished the race in a time of 48:14.9. 

Wilkinson-Zan and Hill are current members of the National Development Centre-Thunder Bay team, while Carlyle is a past member.

British Columbia rounded out the podium, finishing third.
