The English River Miners have a new coach and general manager.
The Superior International Junior Hockey League team on Thursday announced Derek Sweet-Coulter will take over the reins in 2015-16 from Kevin Kahoot.
The Victoria native, who played five seasons of Junior A hockey during his playing days, brings eight years of experience to the Miners, including three with the Strathcona Bruins of the Alberta Junior Hockey League and two more with the Edmonton Mustangs.
His most recent coaching gig was with the Vegreville Rangers of the North Eastern Alberta Junior B Hockey League.
