High-scoring Dryden Ice Dogs forward Cole Golka has been named to the Canadian Junior Hockey League’s central all-star team.
Golka was the lone Superior International Junior Hockey League player to make the grade on a six-member team dominate by the Ontario Junior Hockey League, who led the way with three of the six slots.
Golka, a native of Strathcona, Alta., led the SIJHL with 47 goals and 89 points and tied for the league lead with nine game-winning goals.
Also making the team are Trenton’s Justin Kapelmaster in nets, Aurora’s Ethan Strong and Kirkland Lake’s Ethan Strong on the blue-line and Steve Hladin of Georgetown and Powassan’s Steve Harland up front.
