Dryden's Cole Golka named to CJHL central all-star team

High-scoring Dryden Ice Dogs forward Cole Golka has been named to the Canadian Junior Hockey League’s central all-star team.

Golka was the lone Superior International Junior Hockey League player to make the grade on a six-member team dominate by the Ontario Junior Hockey League, who led the way with three of the six slots.

Golka, a native of Strathcona, Alta., led the SIJHL with 47 goals and 89 points and tied for the league lead with nine game-winning goals.

Also making the team are Trenton’s Justin Kapelmaster in nets, Aurora’s Ethan Strong and Kirkland Lake’s Ethan Strong on the blue-line and Steve Hladin of Georgetown and Powassan’s Steve Harland up front.
