ST. LOUIS - For the first 67 minutes the Thunder Bay Chill looked to be well on their way to picking up a season opening victory.

That changed in the blink of an eye.

Jeff Tryon scored twice in a two-minute span for the St. Louis Lions to erase a two-goal Chill lead, leading to the two sides drawing 2-2 in their Premier Development League match at the Tony Glavin Soccer Complex Saturday night.

Thunder Bay got off to a strong start as 2012 PDL MVP Sullivan Silva got the visitors on the board in the eighth minute, as the striker quickly found the back of the net as he attempts to come back from two injury-plagued campaigns.

That lead held up into the half before the Chill doubled the edge.

Sergio Campano Franco, a pillar of the 2013 squad, struck in the 59th minute.

The Lions, who had gradually increased the pressure in the second half, had an answer.

Tryon got St. Louis on the board in the 57th minute to break the clean sheet of Chill keeper Michael Miller.

Right off the ensuing kick the Lions took advantage of a Thunder Bay defensive breakdown, leading to Tryon netting the equalizer.

Neither side was able to pull ahead in the final 20 minutes.

The two clubs face off again Sunday afternoon.
