Border Cats starter Greg Weissert faced the minimum number of batters through four innings and only gave up a pair of hits and three walks before departing after seven innings. Weissert also struck out nine batters.

George Faue, who took over in the sixth and went three strong, earned the win for Alexandria (8-19).

Thunder Bay’s Carter McEachern was 1-for-3 with a pair of RBI. Alan Baldwin drove in the other Thunder Bay run.
