Easter Seals confirms NHLers taking part in annual skate

The always popular Celebrity Skate for Easter Seals has confirmed at least five NHLers will be on hand for the July 7 event. St.

The always popular Celebrity Skate for Easter Seals has confirmed at least five NHLers will be on hand for the July 7 event.

St. Louis Blues defenceman Robert Bortuzzo, Nashville goalie Carter Hutton will be joined at the Thunder Bay Tournament Centre by Eric and Jordan Staal of the Carolina Hurricanes and brother Marc of the New York Rangers.

Participants are asked to collect $50 or more in pledges. The first 25 to do so will receie a T-shirt. There are also prizes for the top three fundraisers.

All money goes to support Easter Seals, an organization that helps children with mobility issues.

The skate takes place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
