Defenceman Andrew Tessier’s time with the Lakehead Thunderwolves appears to have come to an end.

The Sudbury Star reports the Elliot Lake, Ont. native is leaving to join the Laurentian Voyageurs after two seasons in Thunder Bay.

Tessier, who battled injuries last season, had four assists in 25 career games in a Thunderwolves uniform, collecting 24 penalty minutes.

Prior to coming to Lakehead he spent two seasons in the major junior ranks with Drummondville and Kington. Before that he skated for the Blind River Beavers of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League.

Tessier has the dubious distinction of not having scored a goal in his last 162 regular season games. He had no goals in 38 conference and non-conference games with Lakehead since joining the club in 2013.
