MBB: Wolves storm Thunderbirds to earn fourth pre-season win

The Lakehead Thunderwolves overcame a slow start, and buoyed by a double-double by Bacarius Dinkins, went on to rout the visiting Algoma Thunderbirds on Friday night.

The Lakehead Thunderwolves overcame a slow start, and buoyed by a double-double by Bacarius Dinkins, went on to rout the visiting Algoma Thunderbirds on Friday night.

Dinkins scored 20 points and grabbed a dozen rebounds as the men’s basketball squad improved to 4-1 in non-conference play.

Nick Burke, returning from an ankle injury, and Tanner Parrington had 13 apiece for Lakehead, who trailed 17-16 after one quarter. Parrington completed a double-double of his own, with 10 rebounds.

Sean Clendinning had 15 to lead the Thunderbirds.
