The goaltending got back on its feet on Friday night.

But once again the Lakehead Thunderwolves couldn’t put a complete hockey game together. Blake Richard made 28 stops, not allowing a goal as the host Windsor Lancers kept Lakehead winless on the season with a 2-0 triumph.

Dylan Seguin broke a scoreless tie late in the second and Dylan Denomme iced it with a power-play marker early in the third to lead the Lancers to the win.

Devin Green made 28 stops of his own in taking the loss.

The defeat drops the Thunderwolves record to 0-10-1, the worst start in team history that leaves Lakehead nine points out of the eighth and final playoff spot.

The third-place Lancers improved to 7-4-2.

The two teams play again on Saturday. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
