THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The North American Prospects Hockey League has announced that Thunder Bay minor midget Kings forward Quintin Loon-Stewardson has been named to take part in the league’s third annual under-16 all-star game Sunday evening at 9 p.m. in Blaine, Minn.

Loon-Stewardson was the lone member of the Kings side chosen to compete from teams that comprise the 19-team U-16 division.

The 15-year-old Sioux Lookout product currently leads the Kings in scoring in NAPHL play with 14 points in 15 games on 10 goals and four assists.

His tally total ties him for fifth overall in U-16 play.

Final roster decisions were based on a combination of the current NAPHL U-16 standings, along with NAHL Central Scouting staff input based on nominations by coaches and scouting evaluations throughout the first three events.

Players that were considered for the U-16 All-Star Game selection process had to have been nominated by each of the NAPHL U-16 head coaches in the league.

The U-16 All-Star Game is a part of the NAPHL’s fourth regular season event of the season, which will feature all 38 NAPHL teams, each playing in five regular season games from Dec 4-7 in Blaine.
