Northwest Narwhals collect 115 medals at NWO Regional Championship

Thunder Bay -- Held at the Canada Games Complex this past weekend, a record 41 Northwest Narwhals swam hard to collect 115 Individual Medals spread over 30 swimmers along with four gold Medals in the relay events to finish second in points overall.

Leading the medal count for the girls for the team was Ilana Mironsky who was on the podium in every individual event with three gold, four silver and a bronze. Diego Barcena-Martinez lead the boys for the team by collecting medals in every event with a gold, three silver and four bronze.

The men’s 15 and over along with the boys 11-12 relay team both topped the podium in the 200-freestyle and 200-medley for the four relay gold medals acquired by the Narwhals.

Also swimming hard for the team was  Julie Hauth, Heather Eyben, Malcom Bath, Zoe Bath, Katelyn Battigelli, Kalie Filice, Carson Cambly, Sarah McClelland, Kate Moorhouse, Madi Ross and Amira Siddo.
