KINGSTON, Ont. -- The Lakehead Thunderwolves will have to settle for a weekend split in southern Ontario.

Katelyn Andrea scored 17 points and Jerika Baldin added 13 points and eight assists, but it wasn’t enough to combat the host Queen’s Gaels, who prevailed 69-51.

Abby Dixon had 15 to pace the Gaels, completing the double-double with 11 boards. Emily Hazlett had 13 in a winning effort.

The loss drops the Thunderwolves to 5-8, two games behind the Guelph Gryphons in the fight for the third and final playoff spot in the OUA Central.
