Goalie Carter Hutton signs two-year, $2.25-million deal with St. Louis

Thunder Bay goaltender Carter Hutton has a new home. Hutton on Friday inked a two-year, $2.25-million deal with the St. Louis Blues, where he’s expected to back-up starter Jake Allen.

Thunder Bay goaltender Carter Hutton has a new home.

Hutton on Friday inked a two-year, $2.25-million deal with the St. Louis Blues, where he’s expected to back-up starter Jake Allen.
Hutton spent the past two seasons with the Nashville Predators, where he was stuck behind all-star Pekka Rinne.

Hutton played 17 games with Nashville last season, posting a 7-5-4 record with a 2.33 goals against average and .918 save percentage. He also posted two shutouts.

In his career, the 30-year-old Hutton has played 76 games, with a 2.56 goals against average.
