Cats shut out in Rochester

ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Thunder Bay Border Cats just couldn’t generate any offence Thursday night against the Rochester Honkers.

ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Thunder Bay Border Cats just couldn’t generate any offence Thursday night against the Rochester Honkers.

Ricky Delgado hurled seven innings of four-hit, shutout baseball to lead the host Honkers to a 3-0 Northwoods League win.

The loss was the second straight for Thunder Bay (7-12).

Brandon Langan was effective on the mound for the Cats, allowing 11 hits and three runs, two of them earned, over six innings.

Anthony Brocato and Bobby Honeyman had two hits apiece for the Border Cats, who just managed just six hits in the game.

Kyle Kasser drove in a pair of runs for Rochester.

The two teams will tangle again on Friday night.
