Krista McCarville’s Thunder Bay rink stopped the bleeding just in time to win its second straight match at the Roar to the Road pre-Olympic qualifier in Prince George, B.C. on Thursday.

McCarville, up 7-3 after six ends, watched Rachel Roman’s Ottawa foursome score one in the seventh, steal one in the eighth and a pair in the ninth to even the contest.

But McCarville’s team, which also includes Kari McLean-Kraft, Lorraine Lang and Tara George, managed to score one with the hammer in the 10th to take the B-side game 8-7.

Next up for the Fort William Curling Club foursome is an evening date with Saskatchewan’s Amber Holland
McCarville is 2-1 at the triple-knockout event.
