Bardsley's 22, Fragale's 21 pace LU to hard-court win

Kelsey Bardsley’s not a bad option off the bench.
The Lakehead Thunderwolves sophomore dropped 22 points on Saturday in a reserve role, pacing her team to an 89-74 win over Olds College at the University of Manitoba’s Shoot for the Cure tournament in Winnipeg.
Carolyn Fragale had another big night for Lakehead, scoring 21 points to go with nine rebounds, eight assists and three steals.
Olds College’s Jylisa Williams with 29 points to lead all scorers.
Coach Jon Kreiner was impressed.
"I was excited for tonight's game because it was going to be between two up-tempo teams and we got a chance to play against one of the top players in the CIS or CCAA. I was very happy with our first half defense and we held Jylisa to five points.
“We gave up 45 second half points and Jylisa scored 24 and for moments we were frazzled. I was very happy that we held Olds to 13 free-throw attempts after they took 33 the night before," Kreiner said.
“Carolyn was great narrowly missing a triple double. Kelsey Bardsley came off the bench to score 22 and that was key against a tough pressure 1-3-1 zone.”
