Thunder Bay is headed back to the Brier for the first time since 2003.

Skip Jeff Currie, whose team includes lead Jamie Childs, second Colin Koivula and third Mike McCarville, scored a 5-4 semifinal win Sunday over Sudbury’s Mike Jakubo to earn a berth in the afternoon final. Currie will take on fellow Thunder Bay skip Brian Adams Jr., who earned an automatic spot in the championship game with a 6-1 record in round-robin play.

Adams Jr.’s team includes lead Joel Adams, second Jordan Potts and third Brennan Wark.
