Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, the Deputy Treasurer will be responsible for assisting in the coordination and regular monitoring of the annual operating and capital budgets, risk management duties, recording and maintaining the tangible capital asset database and related policies, perform the duties of the Director of Corporate Services in their absence.
The ideal candidate will possess a University Degree or post-secondary education with a professional accounting designation. Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, policies and regulations, proficiency with financial software, experience with annual operating and capital budgets and asset management sustainability practices, the ability to prepare, verify and analyze a variety of financial data and effective time management, communication and organizational skills are all required. Experience in a municipal setting would be considered an asset.
