St. Joseph’s Foundation of Thunder Bay works in cooperation with St. Joseph’s Care Group with an objective of raising funds to support capital equipment purchases. The Foundation was established to support the works of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Sault Ste. Marie and primarily, St. Joseph’s Care Group. Since its inception in 1983, the Foundation has raised over $25 million, including more than $10 million raised through four capital campaigns. With the success of its campaigns, fundraising activities, donations, and ongoing contributions received through memorials and estate gifts, St. Joseph’s Foundation is well positioned to face the future.

If the opportunity to make a difference interests you, here’s what the Executive Director position is all about:

 Execute fundraising and operational objectives while managing all aspects of the Foundation, including planning, stewardship, cultivation and solicitation of major gift donors, internal and external engagement, implementing fundraising strategies including major capital campaigns and organizing major events.
 Actively promote Foundation activities including fundraising events, fund development projects, and campaigns.
 Develop, implement, and promote a Planned Giving Program.
 Develop, implement, and coordinate a Donor Recognition Program for Annual Giving and In Memoriam donations that reflects gratitude, professionalism and continuity
 Provide the Foundation Board with information on new sources of revenue on a continuous basis, seeking innovative and enterprising fund program development

The Foundation is looking for someone with demonstrated fundraising experience in progressively more senior level roles. Most important is a hands-on understanding of growing high-performing fundraising programs including annual giving events, grants, foundation development, planned giving, capital campaigns and corporate giving.
