Stationary Maintenance Team Leader
Musselwhite Mine

We are seeking an energetic individual with a strong commitment to safety to join our Maintenance Team and contribute their skills and knowledge to our ongoing development and growth. This individual will report directly to the Stationary Maintenance Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line supervision of corrective maintenance and preventative maintenance with established budget limitations
• Ensure required maintenance standards and preventive, predictive (condition based) on mechanical equipment are followed
• Manage the implementation of standards, targets, policies and plans to ensure the continuing and increasing operational efficiency, effectiveness and profitability
• Promote and ensure operational integrity (quality, environment, reliability, health and safety, and security) is maintained
• Develop and direct cost effective solutions to meet customers’ expectations and technical requirements and to encourage best practice and innovation throughout maintenance functions
• Execution of short, medium and long-term maintenance and operation services plans to ensure technical standards, specifications and quality assurance systems
• Provide site-wide management and leadership for the successful implementation of the reliability-focused maintenance management operating system
• Ensure personnel development through varied job assignments, training, and employee involvement
• Provide on-going coaching, feedback, and development suggestions to improve employee performance
• Provide timely, accurate and well-communicated shift reports and summaries for cross-shift and turnaround needs


Requirements

• Must possess a secondary school graduation diploma - college diploma or degree preferred
• Certified Journey Person License
• Minimum of 5 years of mining related experience
• 3-5 years experience in a leadership capacity
• Hoist/shaft experience preferred
• Proven supervisory experience is desired
• Ability to lead a team and work within a changing environment
• Strong desire to develop leadership competencies and business acumen
• Highly effective in motivation, organization and decision-making
• Ability to frequently lift, carry and push 76 lbs
• Ability to frequently reach below and at-shoulder level
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written, listening)
• Strong commitment to safety


The work schedule for this position is 14 on, 14 days off, working 12 hour days. Successful candidate must be willing to relocate to the Thunder Bay area.
