Children’s Centre Thunder Bay works together with families, caregivers and a community of partners to make a real difference in the quality of life of children and youth. We are an accredited, not-for-profit organization providing treatment and support services for children and youth, from birth to 18 years, who are experiencing behavioural, emotional, developmental or social difficulties. The Centre is currently seeking to fill the following position:
(ONE) TEMPORARY FULL TIME ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Approximately four months in duration
Union Position – 35 hours weekly
Hourly: $20.80 - $25.30
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to program staff, program and agency process and the program manager, as well as providing organizational, administrative and functional support and assistance in the day to day operation of the program staff, program manager and team.
Grade 12 plus a minimum of one year Office Administration training from an accredited college or an equivalent combination of education and experience (minimum 2 years). The position requires advance keyboarding, computer and data base skills with intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). An ability to record and transcribe minutes is required. The individual will also possess strong communication and organizational skills, along with a high degree of interpersonal skills (both professionally and personally). The individual will be highly skilled in time management, organizational skills and be able to work independently and in a team setting.
