What you will be doing at Pinchin:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Project Manager will oversee projects for a variety of clients and will work towards becoming the principal contact for a specific list of clients. This is a unique opportunity to grow within Pinchin’s newly developing Thunder Bay office.

Perform Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments and Environmental Remediations and/or
Oversee hazardous materials consulting projects, including assessments, contract preparation and remediation/abatement work.
Prepare reports with recommendations
Manage projects and ensure that they are completed on time and on budget
Communicate with Clients and understand their project requirements
Prepare proposals
Participate in initiatives with the marketing department and develop business development skills to build new client relationships and maintain existing ones
Build leadership and mentorship skills by working with and mentoring junior staff

What you bring to the Pinchin team

A Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering or Applied Science or post-secondary education in any of the following: Construction Technology, Architectural Technology, Occupational Health and Safety/Hygiene and Indoor Air Quality.
A P.Eng. or P.Geo. designation is not required, but is considered an asset
3-5 years’ experience within environmental consulting, at least 1-2 of which should be in a project management position:
Experience with conducting Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments and/or
Experience as a Project Technologist performing hazardous materials assessments, abatement inspection and air monitoring, and preparing asbestos management plans
Experience with invoicing, budgeting, and other areas of project related financial management
Excellent technical report writing skills; ability to write, review, and edit reports and other written communications
Experience with business development initiatives and client interaction
Valid driver’s license and insurance are required (work related travel expenses will be compensated)
Strong communication skills & professional presentation
High level of attention to detail
