Consortium Aurora Borealis presents “Quintessential Quintets”, with bright, cheerful chamber music from the Classic era. Five fine local musicians will charm us with quintets for flute, oboe, violin, viola, and cello by Johann Christian Bach, known as “the London Bach”. He was J. S. Bach’s youngest son, and influenced the music of Mozart, whose oboe quartet plus a flute quartet are also on the program. Doris Duncan, Colleen Kennedy, Katie Stevens, Patrick Horn, and Daniel Parker perform. This music is sure to delight!
