Hearing Instrument Specialist


Hearing First is a locally owned audiology clinic that has been serving the people of Sault Ste. Marie and area for over 20 years. We offer competitive salaries, flexible hours, and professional fee and licensing coverage. We are currently looking for a part-time Hearing Instrument Specialist to join our team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Excellent soft skills
* Perform comprehensive audiometric assessments and make
appropriate referrals
* Recommend hearing aids, accessories and assistive devices
based on audiometric findings
* Ability to obtain ear mold impressions
* Perform real-ear measurements, electroacoustic analysis and
programming of digital hearing aids
* Dispense hearing aids and counsel patients; provide follow-
up care and support thereafter
* Perform hearing aid cleaning, listening checks, modifications
and minor repairs
* Maintain consistent and accurate reports and documentation
relating to all clients
* Good time-management and ability to multi-task
* Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team


Qualifications:

* College diploma from a recognized Hearing Instrument
Specialist Program
* Licensed by AHIP and a current member in good standing
