Location: Sault Ste. Marie, ON
We are looking for looking for an IT professional with the skills and capabilities to properly interact with Industrial Process Experts at our AlgomaTubes facility in Sault Ste. Marie (Industrial Planning, Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Automation and Quality) in order to support and propose improvements to the Manufacturing Execution System which includes, but is not limited to, the following modules:
  • Work Order Dressing and Product Specification – Translation of customer requirements contained in the Sales Order document (material descriptions, quantities and tolerances, due dates, marking specifications, shipping instructions, etc.) to generate the Industrial Work Order and Manufacturing Routing Sheets including the necessary Quality Control Plans linked to Product/Customer Specifications and Norms applicable.
  • Inventory Management and Transformation – Operations related to inventory movements and transformation processes for raw materials, components/assemblies and work in process. Analysis of Inventory Aging, Slow Moving, Leftovers and Surplus.
  • Production declaration – Finished Goods and Rejections declaration including production controls to guarantee mass balances and production time consistency checks (downtimes, change overs and interruptions)
  • Cost and Management Controls – Standard Production Cost, Actual Production Cost, Consumables and Transformation Cost, Production Volume Targets, Year to Date and Month to Date Accumulated figures, etc.
  • Work Order Completion Checks – Quality Release and Hold Points, Manufacturing or Mill Test Certificate submission, Lab Tests and Lot Samples/Specimens controls, etc.
  • Assists in the implementation of a stable IT infrastructure as well as assists operations before and after implementation
  • Assists in the resolution of incidents, attending to scheduled changes, ensuring an adequate level of security and update, as well as setting up and maintaining operating system and software
  • Maintains the technology service quality, measuring applications and system availability and performance, detecting possible non-compliance or damage to the service and keeping a record of tasks carried out in the Operating Manual
  • Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
  • Protects from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/her area 
  • University degree in Computer Sciences or similar (Software Engineering, Informatics, etc.)
  • 2-5 years as a Busines Analyst or Applications Analyst/Software Designer
  • Soft Skills: Leadership, Proactivity, Teamworking, Communication and Knowledge Sharing, Service Attitude, Problem Solving and Troubleshooting, Aspiration for growth & development
  • Specific Knowledge: Experience on MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) design and support, Business Applications Design and Development, Database Design, Data Analytics and Data Modeling
