Job Title: Part-time Inclusion Support Workers (Male)
(flexibility required-evenings, weekdays, weekends; Hours may vary from 6-8/week on a regular basis with increased hours (up to 15-20/week January and February).
Seeking active, enthusiastic males to be a part of a team who supports our 30 year old son who has developmental disabilities. Reporting directly to us (the family), the Inclusion Support Workers are responsible for providing support in a manner that builds meaningful relationships and focuses on strengths to enable him to be a valued, contributing member of the community. Guided by a strong understanding of, and commitment to true inclusion, the Inclusion Support Workers will support our son to pursue and fulfill his goals and aspirations.
Key Responsibilities may include:

4. Volunteer and employment Supports
Qualifications and Requirements:
2 years+ Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities using a positive, strength-based, wellness approach
Steadfast belief and commitment to inclusion, the right for all people to belong, participate and contribute to the community
Calm, encouraging disposition and sense of humour; displays positive mood at work
Active and enthusiastic lifestyle (enjoys similar interests to our son’s-- sports, music, video games, working out, cooking, going to events)
A valid Class 5 driver’s license; access to a reliable vehicle and applicable insurance
Recent Police and Vulnerable Persons Checks
.30/ km travel compensation for vehicle use during work hours
