We are proud to announce that 6 outstanding students have been selected for the Groves Hospital Volunteer Association Post-Secondary Healthcare Award!
Since 1963, this award has recognized local students who demonstrate academic excellence, a commitment to healthcare, and a passion for making a difference in their communities.
Congratulations to our 2024 recipients:
a. Gray Dibben, CWDHS, will be studying Life Sciences with a focus on Medicine/Obstetrics at the University of Toronto!
b. MacKenzie Murray, CWDHS, will be studying Respiratory Therapy at Conestoga College!
c. Katie Miller, CWDHS, will be studying Nursing at McMaster University!
d. Allie Oelschlagel, CWDHS, will be studying Medical Sciences at Western University!
e. Avery Vink, ECHS, will be studying Practical Nursing at Mohawk College!
f. Siera Vanleeuwen, ECHS, will be studying as a Hearing Instrument Specialist at Conestoga College!
This year, we awarded a total of $6,000 in bursaries, with each recipient receiving $1,000 to support their academic journey. At Groves Hospital Volunteer Association, we believe in investing in the future of healthcare, and these students have shown their dedication and commitment to making a positive impact in the field.
To the winners, your hard work, passion, and academic achievements have set you apart. We applaud your dedication to pursuing a health-related field of study and wish you all the success in your future endeavors.
