OPP officer captures shots of bears hugging

OPP say the shots were caught while officer was conducting a routine foot patrol.

THUNDER BAY – An OPP officer conducting a foot patrol in Northern Ontario had an encounter with local wildlife she won’t soon forget.

OPP Northwest posted a trio of photos of a pair of bears hugging along a rural road in the Armstrong area by Const. Nicole Haueisen.

“Just the bear facts. Bears are among the most massive and powerful on earth and P/C Nicole Haueisen managed to capture these great photos while on foot patrol. Northern policing is one of the greatest experiences,” the OPP Northwest wrote on its Twitter feed on Thursday morning.
