THUNDER BAY – A section of John Street Road will closed to eastbound traffic for most of the day on Tuesday.
City officials said the closure will take place in the vicinity of Mercier Street, and last from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastbound vehicles will be detoured to Hutton Park Drive and vehicles originating from Chercover Drive will be rerouted westbound to the detour.
The closure is necessitated by the need for new sewer and water infrastructure to be put in place.
Westbound traffic will not be affected.
Motorists are asked to drive with caution and obey posted signage.
