THUNDER BAY — City police have arrested three residents for a homicide that resulted from a weapons call this weekend.

The Thunder Bay Police Service’s primary response unit responded to the weapons call in the 200 block of Pearl Street on early Saturday morning, where they located a 32-year-old male victim, Allan Faykes, at the scene, according to a media release issued by the police on Sunday.

Faykes was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased, said the police, leading the major crimes unit to become involved in the investigation.

The unit identified, arrested and charged three suspects with second-degree murder as a result of the investigation: 20-year-old Kyran Annala, 22-year-old Dylan Wabason and 45-year-old Stephanie Wanakamik.

The police also charged Wabason with breach of probation and breach of firearms prohibition.

These suspects appeared in court on Sunday and have been remanded into custody with a future appearance date.

The police said the prompt arrests in the investigation have demonstrated the expertise and dedication of the many sworn and civilian members involved.
