WHITE BEAR LAKE, MN — The Gridlink Atom Queens went undefeated in the Moose Goheen tournament in White Bear Lake, winning Championship Gold in the process.
The weekend started Friday night with a 3-1 victory over Mahtomedi, highlight by a trio of assists from Grace Dorey.
On Saturday, Queens goaltender Brylee Illson shutout Owatonna, leading her team to a 2-0 win.
Sunday afternoon, the Queens faced the St. Paul Capitals in the finals. Morgan Barenz opened the scoring for the Queens early in the first before St. Paul answered back late in the second.
The game went into sudden death over-time leading to Maddy Arthur scoring the overtime winner for the Queens in the Championship game.
